Molson Coors pledges £100 million investment in UK production network

We’ve announced plans to invest more than £100m in our UK brewery and beverage network over the next five years.

A programme of significant investment and infrastructure upgrades will improve capabilities and introduce greater efficiencies across our entire UK network. It will also play a crucial role in supporting our commitment to reach carbon net zero in our direct (scopes 1 and 2) emissions in the UK by 2035.

Our Story

Molson Coors’ Tadcaster Tower Brewery was built in 1882 by brewers Hotham and Co. Of York. The original tower was 100 feet high, and it was the first the brewery in Tadcaster to have its own railway sidings, allowing for easier transportation of ingredients and beer.

We’ve recently launched plans to invest £10m in our Tadcaster brewery, Yorkshire, to increase production capacity and efficiency, and to reduce emissions.

This programme of significant investment and infrastructure upgrades over the next two years will increase the brewery’s capacity to produce leading beers including Carling, Coors, Madri Excepcional and Worthington’s, using more advanced, energy-efficient equipment.
